The duet of Ali ‘Dubfire’ Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi are true superstars of electronic dance music.
Of Iranian origin and based in Washington, DC, they conquered the world through house music. ‘Junk Science’, their masterpiece debut album was released in 1998 and made a tremendous impact with its unique blend of deep house, Chicago techno, jazzy soul and a melodic, moody atmosphere that became their trademark. They were major players in the progressive house era of the early 00’s, while their remixes for pop artists such as Madonna, Janet Jackson, Cher and Dido brought them mainstream recognition and a Grammy Award. They parted ways in 2006 but released new music in 2014 showing signs of reunification. This year’s show is the first after many years in Greece and a unique opportunity to witness a global dance phenomenon.
